The Vartali Style

The difference between a Vartali haircut and others like a Vidal Sassoon or Bumble and Bumble for example, is Vartan the owner. He is a master European haircutter who is truly an artist, although he has apprenticed under and alongside many talents, he has utilized a very individual way of cutting. One of his most famous quote is: "I like a haircut to have movement not sit on the head like a helmet". We at Vartali nurture 10 to 12 haircutters at any given time, including Vidal Sassoon or other technically trained individuals. But the atmosphere in the salon encourages individuality, both for hairdresser and client. The same goes to our color department, which by the way our salon is one of the few left in the city who does not believe in combining both, each operator specializes in one or the other.
